Does anyone have any current information on the Sunset?
Is it still happening or a passing concept? Thanks, Barbra |

Barbara,
As far as I know you can place a deposit on the sunset, although there hasn't been much news about it recently. I have also read in articles that the sunset is project Nina.

The Sunset is merely a convertible coupe version of the Karma, it is technically called the Karma Sunset. Project Nina, which is supposedly the name of the project only and not the cars that will be developed, is something completely different. None of the concept art on those vehicles has been released, but VP Biden did leak during the Delaware plant that there would be three vehicles out of Project Nina.

Here is a brief article I found on the Car and Driver blog about the Karma Sunset with a picture.

I asked Russell Datz about it at the Santa Monica reception about four months ago and he told me that it is a four seater, but the back seats aren't as roomy as the coupe. Having sat in the coupe at the reception, it changed my opinion about the Sunset, as I have kids who will be riding in the back seat. That issue aside, I think the Sunset is stunningly beautiful and outclasses its nearest competitor - the Tesla - by a large margin. Russell also said the Sunset is still in the plans. And to be clear, the Sunset is very different from Nina, which is lower-priced - more of a mass market vehicle.
