![]() The real exhaust is the opening seen just behind the front wheel. Whenever the engine is running it works just like a regular exhaust. The two...features... seen at the rear of the vehicle are speakers. Because the Karma will make very little noise, even when the engine is charging the batteries, the speakers were installed. There is some concern regarding how quiet electric vehicles are and the resulting lack of "visibility". I think it would look better with nothing there. At least the speakers are functional though. What do you think?

Actually, the port just behind the front wheel on each side is only venting. The actual exhaust is on the right side level the with bottom of the chassis of the vehicle. You can see this in the second photo of it in the company photo gallery: Karma by Fisker Automotive

It looks like you're right!
I believe I misinterpreted what I had read about the exhaust in the article.

I agree it would be cleaner looking without the exhausts.

Yep, the real exhaust is actually below the vent on the passenger's side:
![]() There was an interesting topic that the dealership owner brought up, which was the idea of being able to "buy" whatever exhaust tone you want. Kinda like a ringtone for your car. That would be crazy fun. Want your Karma to sound like a cammed 67 Vette? or a Ferrari F430? Or a F450 Dually? The possibilities would be endless. There definitely is some concern for safety as the car is completely quiet without the speakers. But I could only imagine what that would be like--an entire highway of just wind noise...
