I am a new user and I have never written on a forum before. I am interested in learning more about cars so that I can be as savvy as my boyfriend. I think that the Fisker Karma is Awesome! I really enjoy the solar panel on the roof, but I don't really know how useful it would be... But I love the sleek design.
I have been to a couple races (as a viewing participant) and have enjoyed everything so far. I own a 2009 Honda Civic and crunch numbers for a living. Look forward to reading some discussions and learning more about cars!

Default Hello!

Greetings!

As a longtime student of history and business, I'm keenly interested in what you are doing over at Fisker Automotive. I like the gauntlet Fisker has thrown down to the traditional auto industry, not because I am anti-business; actually the opposite. As a younger and more nimble competitor, Fisker might just be able to stimulate innovation on a wide scale if the Karma and Nina can prove themselves (and I very much hope they do!).

As an executive with experience in marketing, it seems to me that there is every possibility that Fisker is on the verge of cracking the real conundrum keeping Americans from adopting EV / Hybrid technology on a wide scale; that is, there is no need to jettison convenience, luxury or quality of construction. Now the only remaining point is the price-point for the average consumer. The Nina is a good start down this road (but starting with a Lexus-class luxury sedan is I think a smart play, since it goes a long way to disproving the key branding issue with EVs).

My own business (and current completion of a Ph.d) is sucking up our available funds just now, but I'm seriously considering the Karma as the next vehicle we purchase. In many ways it is too bad there is a potential dealer here in Fort Worth, as I'd be sorely tempted to back up my beliefs by running a dealership!

My compliments! If the quality of the car itself meets or exceeds that of the presentation of it, then I think Fisker may have hit on a winner.

Hello Brian and welcome to the community!

Just to be clear, I am not affiliated with Fisker Automotive in any way. I am an enthusiast who, like yourself, sees a great potential in Fisker. As a member of another niche car community (Lotus) I have seen first hand the benefits such a community can reap for the consumer and even the manufacturer.

Congratulations and good luck on completing your Ph.d, and be sure to let us know if you end up buying a Karma.

Default Introduction

I've been a car enthusiast for forty years, thanks to my brother. The Fisker is an interesting concept and I'll be following it's development.

On occasion, I eat a hot dog with the site admin.

Own a Tesla Roadster #254 which became #725. I am anxiously awaiting Fisker Karma #79, but am looking for more transparency from the company. I think the design belongs in the Museum of Contemporary Art! And the Sunset... oh I lust for thee!

Welcome!

How do you like the Tesla? I know that they are partially assembled at the Lotus plant in Hethel and share a good portion of the interior along with the chassis. Hopefully you guys get better seats!

Sounds like you'll be one of the first to take delivery and we'll be anxiously awaiting pictures when it arrives!
