Not sure that there was a designation made? There was for Tesla. I'm #79 of the 1st 100 to roll off the line.

So, you put down $5000, when there was the choice between putting $5000 down and $1000 down. The Signature Editions are the first 100 to roll off the line for $100,000 a piece, and then the production models at $87,900 MSRP.

Other than the title what are you paying the extra $12k for?

Originally, the solar roof was an option and the base model Karma was MSRP $80,000. Other than that it was supposed to be decked out with options and have a special identification plate showing it as being a Signature Edition. Last I heard from Fisker Automotive, the Signature Edition would be of a interior and exterior color option that would be unique to those 100, never to be used again. I had advised them against that since people willing to pay a premium would want to have as much choice in tailoring their auto as possible. Fairly soon, the finalization of all the details will be done, and then, hopefully, I can tell you more about what differences there might be.

1) I'll have to review my paper work, but I thought that the $87K price was going to be for the 1st 100, even with all the options & then after that the options will cost extra. I put down $5K.

2) OMG, I could not agree with you more about the individuality aspect of the 1st 100. I've sent them countless e-mails begging them to reconsider this whole brave new world every car is the same BS for the 1st 100. Have not heard anything back, but if I'm not THRILLED with the choices, I will NOT be buying it just so I can say that I was in the 1st 100!

3) kabalah70... do you have a down payment?

Yeah, I am still holding onto slot #51 of the Signature Editions.

Hi, I'm from Finland, but quite far from the town where the Karma will be manufactured. I'm researching new Li-ion barrery chemicals, and very interested in PHEVs and EVs, especially the very beautiful and dynamic Karma.

Do you know anyone working on the project?

Hi:

We are awaiting the delivery of our Karma. We ordered it about a year ago and can't wait for delivery.
